Journal #6, Josh

I would like to say that in life, not all people have seen the horrors and face of evil, especially children and those who live in developed countries and have not been expose to these horrors. These days, we live off of the things we basically want… but never look at the things we truly need, things we need are food, shelter and clothing. Because of this, we take things for granted and never consider or care for those who are victims of any sort of horror and never put ourselves into their shoes. In developed countries, we all want our nice looking brand name clothing, make up etc. and these are the things we basically want but do not have any impact to our necessities. Sure you would have some clothes just to wear, but cloths are cloths, when you are dead you won’t take them with you other than the fact that it would probably be given to someone else. In Canada, we are privilege because we do not see any horrors of war, natural disasters, or even evil and when we watch a video showing any of these, we are overwhelmed by the footages and realized how naïve we are, unless you are heartless and do not care at all. All of have to say is “welcome to earth” because this is our nature of a human being and this is truly what we are capable of doing. When you are stranded on an island, you fight for everything and you defiantly do not fight over the fact how pretty you look or your new TNA shirt. You fight for food, water and argue over what seems to be the most stupid thing to argue about ever.

When I was stranded on an island, at first we tried to work together and cooperate but in the end we started to fight with each and did not cooperate by what seems to be almost our last day on the island. I had to dig up holes in the ground just to use it as a restroom, followed by covering them back up when they get full. This was the worst part of being stranded on an island, however it was fun when you go fishing and hunting, and it’s actually quite fun when you are exposed to it. I use to find fishing and hunting all weird and old people do these crazy things, however it was like a sport and you can make it out of a competition as well. If you ever get stranded on an island, here’s a tip for you, try to cooperate with others but at the same time trust no one because they may all not be there to help you.
